Apple laptops are manufactured by the same taiwanese contractors as
Dell, Gateway, Acer etc. (Quanta or whoever the flavor of the month is).
Their spec is reasonably good quality components, but you can get
similarly good components on the high end laptops from Lenovo (T, W
series) or Toshiba or Sony (and bonus that they are actually tested
on Windows and maybe Linux).
