working environment. Naturally, there are different employers and
different division cultures in different departments. The embedded
hardware and software people I worked with at ATL, EKOS, and Physio
Control are nice folks. I'd rather not name another where I could
make a case for a mixed lot. But the majority were nice.

medical-device companies I worked for had the nicest coworkers and
managers. As my own skills run to the analog side, I came into very
little competition with other employees.</p>
